Polish Game Industry

as seen on the Poznań Game Arena and Game Industry Conference

Game Industry Conference is collocated with Poznan Game Arena, one of the most important game expos in the Europe and the biggest in this part of it. Over 71 000 visitors come to see the games and try the gaming hardware of more than 130 expositors.

The two events are the best place to meet most of the Polish Game Industry. The industry is already over 400 studios with over 5000 people developing games. If you include the services around that, like outsourcing, Q&A, localization, publishing and distribution, etc, the numbers will at least double.

B2B exhibition zone and meeting system

The GIC offers the best B2B opportunities to reach game industries from Poland and most of Central and Eastern Europe. The B2B exhibition area, although close to B2C exhibitions of PGA Expo, is separate and offers an excellent environment to meet developers and business partners.

Professionally organized meeting area with Pitch&Match meeting system allows for well-organized meetings with the business partners you are looking for. It also hosts the Japan+Eastern Europe Networking Event. Business Lounge offers a place to sit down and chill out or to have a casual meeting. It also serves lunches during lunch hours and coffee, soft drinks and snacks non-stop.

Finally, the networking events happening every evening are organized to include space to sit and talk as well as Polish food and drinks.

Recruitment event

The GeekCareers is one of the newest additions to the GIC. It started in 2016, with seven companies searching for employees for their Polish and international offices. It was even more successful than anyone hoped for. Companies recruiting reported that they met many candidates, both Polish and foreign and on all levels of experience, starting from juniors and students, but also offering seniors and leads. The best success story is four new employees from this one event. The GeekCareers advantage is high accessibility for the candidates, both by ticket pricing and with the event happening over the weekend.

Teaching event with advanced talks

At the GIC we believe in learning value of talks and we stand rather for talks content than for loud names. With our unique marking of advancement of talks (1 - basic, 2 - intermediate, 3 - advanced), we are looking for ones with true takeaway for developers with several years of experience. Speaker candidates have to go through advanced submission and rigorous review system, while our Advisory Board is working hard to check for the value of every talk.

It pays off: the GIC is seen as the teaching event with the best quality of talks.
