Game Industry Conference (GIC) is a unique event attracting over 3,300 attendees annually, with a strong focus on advanced, practical, and engaging talks. For speakers, it’s a fantastic opportunity to showcase expertise and share knowledge with other game developers.

CTRL + ALT + PROMOTE – Games Marketing Summit is a dedicated event for everyone building visibility, growth, and community in games. From PR pros and marketing leads to community managers and publishing experts, it’s a space to share insights, discuss strategies, and learn from real case studies. For speakers, it’s the perfect chance to showcase expertise and connect with peers shaping how games reach players worldwide.

Scope and requirements for talks
- Language:
All talks should be delivered in English, except for topics specific to Poland, such as legal or tax-related issues. - Scope:
There are no strict thematic limitations. The key question to answer is:
“Will the audience of game developers benefit from this talk?”- Talks may, but do not have to, align with existing tracks. We’re open to creating new tracks if the topic has value.
- Experience level:
- Talks are classified by attendee experience levels: Basic, Intermediate, Advanced.
- We are primarily looking for advanced and specialized topics, as beginner-level content is widely available elsewhere.
- The ideal talk:
- Practical: Based on real-world experiences and addressing challenges in game development.
- Detailed: Offering in-depth insights and actionable takeaways that developers can apply in their own work.
Suggested tracks
- Social Media & Community
Building strong player communities and driving engagement across platforms like Discord, Reddit, Twitch, and Steam. From grassroots strategies to large-scale campaigns, this track focuses on how community fuels game visibility and long-term success. - PR & Marketing
Covering media outreach, influencer relations, global campaigns, and regional strategies. Talks here should dive into how to position games in an overcrowded market and deliver stories that resonate with both press and players. - Video & Content Marketing
From trailers and live streams to TikToks and YouTube series – this track is all about creative content that moves the needle. Sessions should focus on crafting impactful, shareable assets that amplify discoverability and player interest. - BizDev / Publishing & HR
Focusing on the business of marketing games – from building publisher–developer relationships and planning go-to-market strategies to structuring teams that drive visibility. This track highlights how smart publishing and strong teams amplify marketing impact.
Talk formats
- Short: 20 minutes + 5 minutes for Q&A.
- Long: 45 minutes + 10 minutes for Q&A.
- Other formats, such as lightning talks, roundtables, and Ask Us Anything sessions, are currently by invitation only. Please do not submit them.
Submission and review Process
Review system:
GIC uses one of the most advanced review systems, managed by our Advisory Boards. Each submission is assessed by at least three advisors who evaluate its strengths, weaknesses, and suggest improvements.Review steps:
- GIC and the Games Marketing Summit Program Board jointly review all submissions.
- You may be asked to update your submission or respond to reviewers’ questions.
- Even if your talk is not accepted, you will always receive constructive feedback.

Responsibilities:
- Attend the conference in person and deliver the talk live.
- Cover your own travel and accommodation expenses.
- Hold the rights to the content you present.
- Dedicate sufficient time to prepare the talk and presentation.
Note: Talks are rated by the audience using a mobile app, and scores are publicly visible.
Best Speaker Award
GIC has always prioritized high-quality presentations. At GIC’24, the Best Speaker Award will be presented for the fourth time.
- Prizes: €1,000 and “eternal glory.”
- Categories: Since 2021, there have been three categories, and we’re in discussions with sponsors to expand these and offer bigger prizes.
How to submit:
- Complete all required fields in the submission form to facilitate the review process.
- If you’ve submitted before, log in with your existing account. You can reset your password if needed.
- Don’t be too superficial or vague in the takeaway and vertical slice fields — these are crucial for reviewers and most often lead to requests for updates.
- Focus on practical marketing insights, creative strategies, and case studies. Unobvious solutions and bold ideas are especially welcome, while parts considered common knowledge can be skipped.
