Essential Information for GIC Speakers

This page compiles all key details for your convenience and will be updated regularly.

On-Site Experience

As a speaker, you receive a GIC Business Pass, granting access to:

  • Poznań Game Arena Expo for three and Game Industry Conference (GIC) for four days.
  • Business Lounge, offering snacks and lunches (served from 12:00 to 16:00).
  • Business meetings system for networking.
  • Exclusive events: Before Party, PGA Party, and GIC Party.

Venue:

  • Most events are held at the International Poznań Fairgrounds, specifically in the Poznań Congress Center (Pavilion).

Arrival and Transportation

  • From the airport:

    • A taxi or Uber/Bolt are the most convenient options.
    • The least expensive taxi service: +48 61 822 22 22.
    • Approximate costs:
      • Airport to venue: ~€8.
      • Short city rides: Below €6.
    • Uber is typically €1–2 cheaper.
 

  • Extend Your Stay:

    • Consider staying longer to enjoy sightseeing or other events.
    • Information about sightseeing and GIC Week side events will be available here.
 

Before and During Your Talk

  • Arrive Early: Be in the conference room at least 5 minutes before your scheduled time to prepare.

  • Keep to Schedule:

    • End your talk (including Q&A) at least 5 minutes before the next session.
    • Check the final agenda for your room and timing, which will be published here.
 

  • Badge Collection:

    • Exchange your ticket for a Business Pass badge at the GIC desk, located on Floor 0 in the Poznań Congress Center.
    • Recommended entrance: Eastern Entrance (Wejście Wschodnie)—closest to the train station, public transport, and city center.
 

Technical Setup for Talks

  • Equipment Provided:
    • Screens, laptops, sound systems, HDMI/VGA connectors, and 3.5mm audio jacks.
    • Handheld microphones and microports for presenters.
  • Laptop Options:
    • Use your own laptop or one provided by GIC.
    • Slides should be prepared in Full HD (1920×1080).
    • Software: Laptops include Microsoft Office (PowerPoint), but it’s advised to also save your presentation as a PDF.
  • Special Requests:
    • If you need additional connectors or adaptors, inform the team in advance.
 

GIC Mobile App

Install the GIC App for:

  • A QR code to enter the conference and Poznań Game Arena.
  • Tools to arrange business meetings.
  • Access your invitation email from GRIP to get started.
 

Promote Your Talk on Social Media

  • Share the news about your talk on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, or other platforms.
  • The GIC agenda lets you:
    • Generate tweets directly.
    • Create a link to your session.
    • Generate a custom image for social media posts.

The generated image is optimized for all social media platforms.
